Amazing Shoe: The Creation!

We are going to start creating our brochure next lesson! We have an idea of what we want it to look like but there has been no final decision yet. We looked at some magazines that have advertised sports shoes and the most interesting and fun one has definitely been NIKE. They have made each and every one of their adverts unique and have even used some famous footballers such as Wayne Rooney (famous and AMAZING).
Although we can obviously not get such people to be in our advertisements and brochures, we do have 3 great minds to create a fantastic brochure to appeal to our readers!

Amazing Shoe: Investigation!

I will be uploading a few posts that are related to my ICT project about designing a practical piece of sports gear. I will be working on this project alongside my two good friends, Hiba and Kayla.

Investigation Reflection

So I have just uploaded my Investigation report on my wiki (go here to see that) and I have to say i'm pretty excited for what is coming next!
After investigating and researching what we need to have in our shoe, we are ready to start designing. We sort of have an idea of what we want our shoe to look like but its not 100% perfect yet. We are using Paint to design our shoe, hopefully it will be easy to we can quickly move onto our brochure designing.

Web 2.0!

Web 2.0 is something that all of us use everyday. in fact you're using it right now. It makes interacting with new people easier and allows us to share pictures (Flickr, image shack, tiny-pic) videos (YouTube, MySpace, VYou) etc with the world. Social networking is a HUGE part of our world today and without Web 2.0, we probably wouldn't have many social networking sites. I think that Web 2.0 is  pretty useful, i mean none of my homework would have been possible to do if i didn't have the internet and Web 2.0. Overall, Web 2.0 is probably one of the greatest software's ever made.

During my research i found out that Web 2.0 has collaborated with other social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter. YouTube etc. For example; Google maps and Twitter collaborated to make it easier to find where in the world the tweets are coming from.

Shemeen and I have decided to do a presentation on Corel Draw for our Tech Fair project. This is mainly because of its easy layout and simple instructions and it also has many more features than Windows Live Photo Gallery which are easy to use. The software is also more likely to appeal to our target audience.

Tech Fair - Thoughts and Ideas

For my Tech Fair project I am working with Shemeen Basit and we are doing Digital Photography. We have chosen to research Corel Draw and Windows Live Photo Gallery.

I have read some reviews for both of these photo editing softwares and Corel Draw has definitely stood out.

Peer Review

 Shemeen used her wiki as a digital portfolio. This is my peer review of her wiki. She got 40/132 which means she got a level 2.

Shemeen’s personal statement was very detailed but she didn’t finish it off. To improve, she could have maybe written a reflection for each subject and included pieces of her work that she has done over the past term.
